18 Days Everest Three High Passes Trek

18 Days Everest Three High Passes Trek is regarded as one of the strenuous trekking in the Everest region. It offers the best panoramic views of top four World’s highest peaks: Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516 m) and the Top of the World, Mount Everest(8848 m). It is also renowned by the Everest hardcore trekking. To begin this adventurous journey, one must have a good experience of trekking and should be well equipped as well.

Three High Passes in the Everest region: Kongma La(5,535 m), Cho La(5368 m) and Renjo La(5,338 m) are considered as the major attractions of the 18 Days Everest Three High Passes Trekking. Each of these passes has its own unique features and attractions. The journey begins from the 35 minutes of scenic and adventurous flight to Lukla. Then, the trek begins. The next day, we reach the Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar. It is the bustling market town in the heart of Sherpa country. Then, the journey continues to Lobuche and then  to Chhukung. The next morning, we cross the highest pass among the three high passes in the Everest region, the Kongma La(5,535 m). Then, the journey ascends to reach the Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. The next day, we hike up to the highest Everest view point, the Kalapatthar(5545 m). After enjoying the spectacular view of Mount Everest(8848) from the view point, we trek back to Lobuche for the overnight. After traversing the Cho La pass(5368 m), the trek continues towards the amazing Gokyo valley. The following day, we hike up to the another best view point of the Khumbu region, Gokyo Ri(5357 m) and also towards the Gokyo fourth and fifth lakes to make the journey more beautiful. One also gets the opportunity to explore the Ngozumpa glacier, the largest in Nepal Himalayas lies in this region. Then, the journey continues towards the last but not the least, the Renjo La pass(5,338 m). It offers the mind blowing view of Gokyo valley on one side and the spectacular view of Rermo Pokhari on the other side. Then, the trek descends back towards Namche Bazaar and finally ends at Lukla.

Day 01: UNESCO Heritage sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and trek preparation

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651 m): 35 minutes flight; 8km, 3 - 4 hours trek

Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m): 11km, 5 - 6 hours

Day 04: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization

Day 05:  Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860 m): 10km, 5 - 6 hours

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m): 9km, 5 - 6 hours

Day 07: Dingboche Acclimatization

Day 08: Dingboche to Chhukung (4750 m), climb Chhukung Ri (5,546m): 14km, 6 – 7 hours

Day 09: Cross to Kongma La pass (5535 m), trek to Lobuche (4940 m): 10km, 6 - 7 hours

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m): 13km, 6-7 hours

Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545 m), then to Lobuche (4940 m): 7km, 8 - 9 hours

Day 12: Lobuche to Dzongla (4830 m): 6km, 3 - 4 hours

Day 13: Trek to Gokyo (4800 m) via Cho La pass (5368 m): 6km, 7 - 8 hours

Day 14: Rest day in Gokyo: Climb Gokyo Ri (5357 m), tour 4th and 5th Gokyo lakes: 3 - 4 hours

Day 15: Gokyo to Marlung (4210 m) via Renjo La Pass (5360 m): 11km, 7 - 8 hours

Day 16: Marlung to Namche Bazaar: 15km, 5 - 6 hours

Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 19km, 6 - 7 hours

Day 18: Lukla to Kathmandu: 35 minutes flight
